April 2: Born to read in Carsiana

On Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, which has been International Children's Book Day since 1967, Nati per Leggere inaugurates the third edition of the initiative "Leggiamo in Giardino / Beremo na Vrtu", which from 2021 offers readings bilingual Italian Slovenian with a nature theme for families with children aged 2 and over in the splendid setting of the Carsiana Botanical Garden.

Winter break is over! We are delighted to announce that the Carsiana Botanical Garden will reopen its doors to the public on March 21, 2023! Throughout the winter we have worked with a lot of care and passion to present it to you at its best and finally now we can see each other again!

The whole Karst was once under water, in a warm, shallow sea. Many organisms lived in this sea and deposited their shells on the seabed over the millennia. These shells gave rise to the karst rock, which still contains traces of its ancient inhabitants.
