On Sunday 7 June, Carsiana will be taking part in “Appointment in the Garden 2026” with a programme entirely dedicated to families. This national event is promoted by the Italian Parks and Gardens Association and is a true celebration of gardens, in line with the Rendez-vous aux jardins initiative, which takes place simultaneously in over 20 European countries. The theme of the 2026 event is ‘sight’, an invitation to look at the garden from different perspectives and discover its complexity.
In the morning, from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm, all children aged 2 and over are invited to the ‘Nati per Leggere’ event ‘Leggiamo in giardino/Beremo na vrtu’. Together with the readers, they will listen to bilingual Italian/Slovenian readings on the theme of nature, before exploring the garden in the company of a nature guide.

But the garden is also ready to welcome its youngest and most curious visitors in the afternoon, who will step into the shoes of real explorers in the “Explorer’s Eye” treasure hunt: after collecting their mission sheet, they will set off in search of natural treasures along the garden paths and, once completed, will receive the “Hawk’s Eye” certificate!
