How many ways are there to get to know Carsiana? In this activity led by Sabina Viezzoli, a nature guide, we will alternate between a short guided tour of the botanical garden and an observation workshop inspired by nature journaling – a practice that combines curiosity, mindfulness and creativity.
An opportunity to ‘see’ things differently, training your eye and rediscovering the pleasure of taking your time. After an initial introduction to the habitats and plants of the Karst, each participant will receive a small fold-out notebook with ideas and suggestions for exploring the garden at their own pace. No artistic or botanical skills are required: through sketches, notes and personal observations, we will try to look more closely at details, shapes, relationships and elements that are often invisible to a hurried glance. At the end, we’ll come together for a brief group discussion to share impressions, discoveries and perspectives that emerged during the exploration. Materials will be provided by the organisers.
