Nati per Leggere is holding the sixth edition of the ‘Let’s Read in the Garden / Beremo na Vrtu’ initiative, which, since 2021, has been offering bilingual Italian-Slovenian nature-themed readings in this splendid setting to families with children aged 2 and over.
Following the format already adopted in previous years, the readings will be followed by a child-friendly walk to explore Carsiana in the company of a nature guide. The bilingual Italian-Slovenian reading sessions form part of the local initiatives of the national ‘Mamma Lingua’ project, promoted by the Italian Library Association and NpL to promote the mother tongue and multilingualism in early childhood, and incorporated into the regional ‘LeggiAmo 0-18’ project. Depending on the languages spoken by those attending the session, readings in other languages may also be included**.* *
Booking is compulsory via WhatsApp message to 3493256747 by Saturday, stating the child’s name and date of birth, the name of the parent or accompanying adult, and the languages spoken at home. Participation in the event is free of charge. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes. The event will be cancelled in the event of bad weather.
