17 October: Moths, the butterflies of the night

17 October: Moths, the butterflies of the night

There are nine species of moth for each butterfly species in Europe. Some are huge, some of the largest flying insects in the world, others microscopic. Like many other animals, they too give us an indication of the state of the area where they are present. Many of these are attracted to light and this fact lends itself to monitoring them with light traps.

Appointment on Sunday 17 October at 10.30 with the naturalist Paul Tout, who will accompany us to discover this fascinating hidden world.
