On the occasion of the World Biodiversity Day (22 May) and the Fascination of Plants day (18 May), the University of Trieste adheres to the initiative of the Italian Botanical Society (SBI), which organized the days of the "SBI-odiversity - Knowing our Vegetable Capital ”, an event conducted throughout the country to return to observe plants in the field and share botanical knowledge.
The course, synchronous throughout Italy and which also sees the collaboration of the Carsiana Botanical Garden, will consist of a first day of theoretical activity remotely (20 May 2022), curated at national level by the Floristics, Systematics and Evolution working group of the SBI. Following, there will be two days with parallel events throughout the country, aimed at observing the spontaneous flora. The practical activities organized by the University of Trieste will take place in Trieste on Monte Valerio (May 21, 10-12 am), at the Carsiana Botanical Garden (May 21, 2.30-5pm) and in Val Rosandra (May 22, 10 am-4pm). .
