March 25: "The Gardens of Eowyn" or the Botany and J.R.R. Tolkien

In Carsiana, with a pinch of charm, we will take you on a small enchanted journey, from the hedges of the Shire to the Druadan Forest, to discover the trees, shrubs and forest landscapes of Middle-earth.


Thanks to Tolkien's enchantment we will discover that yes, as Aragorn said, the green earth is a great stuff of legends even if trampled in the sunlight. We will walk the paths of Carsiana and we will find ourselves in the Gardens of Eowyn, we will pass from the primary to the secondary world, living simultaneously in reality and in enchantment, in rationality and in feeling, in art and in science... and discovering how a squirrel he could cross all of Eriador without ever touching the ground.
