11 may: Tolkienian Walk

11 may: Tolkienian Walk

This year Carsiana once again offers botanical explorations in Middle-earth, and this time too the theme will be new. In the four previous editions, the protagonists were the habitats, this year the word goes to the individual species. Even a single plant can show us the way to Faerie.

Tolkien's Legendarium lists at least 140 plant species, and each of them has a story to tell. Linden for Beren and Luthien, Oak for Thorin, Nettle for the Old Forest, Wild Grasses for the Horns of Rohan... there are many of these stories in Carsiana. On Saturday 11 May, we will start listening to them.
