At a time when nature is bare of the green of its leaves and what accompanies our gaze during a walk in the garden are the beautiful karst forms that water has modelled, Carsiana invites you on a journey into the geological past of the dolina to discover the geodiversity of the botanical garden and its link with biodiversity, with an interesting in-depth look at the latest research on limestone rocks, geological palaeoenvironments and microfossils.
Appointment on Saturday 16 December with botanical experts from Carsiana and the palaeontologist Lorenzo Consorti from CNR-ISMAR.
At the end of the talks, some publications published by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia will be distributed free of charge.
